Famous Character Comparison Ideas
Sometimes it's easier to start with a comparison. "You remind me of Ellen Ripley from 'Alien!' She was a great leader, very brave, and willing to take risks when necessary." When you are working on the most accurate identity descriptors possible, it can be useful to look for similarities between a person in your small group and a character from a well-known story. It is helpful as an already gathered set of characteristics in a familiar person we are inspired by. Many, if not most times, those who listen and truly hear our stories recognize heroic and inspiring characteristics in us. Use the following famous characters as examples that point to the characteristics of your fellow story-sharers. Tell them who they remind you of and why. Point to the evidence from the content of the stories they have told. The agreement of your partner storytellers is a powerful and lasting encouragement. And feel free to add to this list!
