Happiness and contentment—the deep sense that life is working out, there is hope for peace and productivity and you have a place in it—this is what being healthy, whole, and resilient are all about. When a group of people shares this sense, the group is healthy too. But these conditions seem elusive, even opposed. Our social, political, economic, and religious norms are not getting us closer to "the ways things work" like we hoped they would. Some of our most common beliefs and behaviors—hyper-independence, competition, power, and punitive justice are separating us from what we really want and need.
The Project Cluster Flocks team has rediscovered ancient wisdom and learned that our best science vindicates it. What we need is connection, belonging, and social integration that cares for the needs of individuals and the whole. We need to do the hard, practical work it takes to build it—one relationship, one small group at a time. This is the way things work everywhere else in the universe. It is time for us humans to use our innovative capacity to fix what is broken, realign our patterns and tap into forces that give us real productive capacity and true health.

The KNOTS Framework
Connect ED's mission is to educate, encourage, and connect individuals, teams, organizations, and communities who want to play a productive role in their network. We believe in a shared narrative in which every one of us is a character with an important role to play. All of us are storytellers. When we learn how to share our stories in ways that contribute to belonging, our teams, organizations, and communities are healthier, more balanced, and more able to grow. Each of us has a powerful role to play. K.N.O.T.S. helps clarify that role:
   K now your story
   N otice the larger story
   O ffer what you have
   T ake what you need
   S hare the new story
OPEN People
We are already embedded in networks of relationships that are ready to be transformed into generative agents that build interdependent structures of belonging that turn on our immune system to heal us, catalyze growth and productivity, awaken untapped capacities, and revolutionize the way we believe, behave, and feel in the world. Those ready networks, the places where we are most likely to succeed in our efforts to build belonging, are with our
O.P.E.N. people:
O ften (we already gather often)
P ositive (our interactions are positive)
E nduring (connections are stable and/or predictable)
N ear (we live, work, or play in close proximity)

Not all these conditions must be present. Some may be high and compensate for those that are limited.

The story - it's always, always about the story...

Project Cluster Flocks is a national network operating that offers coaching, training, program development, and evaluation focused on adaptive response, upstream prevention, and promotion of mental, emotional, and behavioral health in individuals, small groups, teams, organizations, communities, and policies. In person and online, Connect ED interactions are collaborative, participatory, and empowering for stakeholders with a strong emphasis on empirical evidence in solution making. Informed by a myriad of intersecting sciences including neuroscience, epigenetics, ACEs, resilience, positive psychology, social network theory, complexity, self-organizing systems, and non-duality science, Connect ED guides the collaborative efforts of diverse participants in discovering a generative, shared story that contains and strengthens their true, interdependent identities.
